LA GIANNELLA

The Giannella is the tombolo (small stretch of land) at the North of Argentario. It is a sandy beach about 8 km long, where you will find beach resort, free beach, bars and restaurants by the sea. The shore slopes very gently and makes this beach very suitable for small children. Also it is excellent for sailing sports. Behind the beach there is a pine forest covering almost the entire length of the Tombolo.

How to get there: at the 9 + 600 Km of State Highway 440 of Porto Santo Stefano, in locality Santa Liberata, the Giannella's tombolo starts. The sand dune, analogous to the Feniglia, is traversed throughout its length by Strada Provinciale (County Road) Giannella 36 from which there are several entrances to the beach.

Parking: ample parking.

Winds: exposure to North Wind and Northwest Wind.
